The Kabbalah

This is an excerpt from Terrorism and the Illuminati, a book by David Livingstone. The excerpt covers the period from the sacking of Jerusalem to the time of Alexander.

Zionism

In the sixth century BC, the Assyrians finally succeeded in the sacking Jerusalem, and taking the remaining Jewish population into captivity, this time to the city of Babylon, near what is now Baghdad in Iraq. The tragedy was of enormous psychological consequence for Jewish people. The presence of the Jewish people in the Holy Land was regarded by many as a core tenet of their faith. According to the Bible, God had ratified a covenant between Himself and Abraham, to grant the land of Palestine to his descendants. This promise, however, was contingent on the Jewish people adhering to the Commandments of the Law. Ultimately, their Exile was a punishment fulfilled for their repeated transgressions and occult leanings.

Nevertheless, there were some among the Jewish exiles, who chose not to regard their captivity as a punishment, but as a temporary trial. Instead, they interpreted their status as God’s “Chosen” as a permanent relationship, and that the Promise to inhabit the land of Zion, or Palestine, was binding forever. Thus, this new Zionist interpretation was closely intertwined with the mystical directions of the Kabbalah. Therefore, this new Zionist interpretation was a bastardization of the real intent of the Jewish faith, and, as we shall see, was not an integral part of it, but was, through the centuries, increasingly imposed upon the rest of the Jewish community, by a minority committed to this diabolical scheme.

In Babylon, these heretical Jews, who refused to purge their religion of pagan influences, instead added to them the adopted practices of Babylonian magic. However, knowing that magic was forbidden in Judaism, they rejected the God of Israel, choosing instead to honor Lucifer, who they identified with the traditional enemy of the Hebrew faith, Baal. In order not to reveal their apostasy, they disguised their hidden faith as an “interpretation” of the religion, a cult now known as the Kabbalah.

This development is carefully described in the Koran, which explains that, though it was claimed the Kabbalah was derived originally from King Solomon, it was demons who taught such things, teaching them that which had been revealed to the angels Harut and Marut in Babylon. According to the Koran, chapter 2: 101-102:

When a messenger was sent to them (the Jews) by God confirming the revelations they had already received some of them turned their backs (to God’s message) as if they had no knowledge of it. They followed what the demons attributed to the reign of Solomon. But Solomon did not blaspheme, it was the demons who blasphemed, teaching men magic and such things as were revealed at Babylon to the angels Harut and Marut. But neither of these taught anyone (such things) without saying; “we are a trial, so do not blaspheme.” They learned from them the means to sow discord between man and wife. But they could not harm anyone except by God’ s permission. And they learned what harmed them, not what benefited them. And they knew that the purchasers of (magic) would have no share in the happiness of the hereafter. And vile was the price for which they sold their souls, if they but knew.

Borrowing from Jewish themes, therefore, these Kabbalists would seek world domination by arguing that they were preparing the world for the coming of the Messiah, and merely aiding God in bringing about His promise to institute them as rulers of the world. Having rejected the Jewish faith, however, they did not await the real Messiah, but would seek to establish their own ruler, who they would falsely claim as messiah, who would aid them in implementing the global acceptance of their occult creed.

The Chaldean Magi

The ancient world of the sixth century BC was not yet familiar with the Jewish people and their religion. Therefore, when these Kabbalists emerged from Babylon to disseminate their ideas, particularly among the Greeks, they were confusedly identified with the traditional Babylonian priests, known as the Chaldean Magi. The broad dissemination of these ideas had followed the release of the Jews from captivity by the Persians, led by Cyrus the Great, who had conquered Babylon in 539 BC.[1]

The Magi, according to Herodotus, were a tribe of the Medes, within the Persian Empire. The rise of the Persian Empire began in 553 BC, when Cyrus the Great, king of the Persians, rebelled against his grandfather, the Mede King Astyages. Thus the Medes were subjected to their close kin, the Persians.

The Persians were Zoroastrians, the religion of the prophet Zoroaster, and the Magi were their priests.

According to tradition, in 588 BC, Zoroaster converted the king Hystaspes. The wife of Hystaspes, Rhodah, Princess of Persia, had first been married to Zorobabel, third Jewish Exilarch of Babylon.[2] Their son, Darius, , through a conspiracy on the part of the Magi, eventually became Emperor.

Cyrus the Great, and later his son and successor, Cambyses, initially curtailed the power of the Magi. As pointed out by Franz Cumont, perhaps the leading scholar of the last century, although Zoroastrianism was originally monotheistic, the Magi quickly corrupted their religion, infusing with Babylonian elements. This point has caused much confusion among scholars, who have failed to properly assess Cumont’s studies. Because, they fail to see that when numerous ancient historians refer to the Magi, they do not refer to orthodox worshippers of Zoroaster, but these corrupting Magi.

Most interestingly, the ideas attributed to these “Magi” mirror those doctrines which later came to be acknowledged as the Kabbalah. It was they, in the sixth century BC, who developed the pseudo-science of astrology. Scholars have demonstrated that, though Babylonian religion was much concerned with astral themes, the cult of astrology could not have been invented until the sixth century BC, because of the lack of an accurate calendar system. In the Book of [3], Chapter 2:48, the prophet Daniel himself is made chief of the “wise men” of Babylon, that is of the Magi or Chaldeans, and yet remains faithful to the laws of his own religion.

Thus, this new cult of astrology and magic was incorporated into the rites of the dying-god. Mithras, the ancient god of the Persians, was assimilated to Baal, and occult mysteries and black arts were dedicated to him, which became the core of all later Ancient Mysteries.

In 522 BC, while Cambyses was in Egypt, a Magi named Gaumata seized power, claiming to be Smerdis, Cambyses’ brother, knowing that Cambyses had secretly killed the real Smerdis. Though Cambyses tried to advance on the usurper, he somehow died, some say by suicide. According to Herodotus, Otanes, likely the same as “Osthanes”, Cambyses’ uncle, became suspicious of the false Smerdis. From his daughter, who was married to the imposter, he learned that Smerdis was in reality a Magi. A counter-coup by Osthanes and six other nobles was then planned, until Darius, the son of Hystaspes, arrived and sided with them. Darius and Otanes debated whether to strike at once, which Darius favored, or to wait, which seemed better to Otanes. Darius’ strategy won out, the seven killed the false Smerdis, and Darius became Emperor.

The Phoenicians

As the Persian Empire expanded, Magian doctrines were exported to the rest of the known world, particularly to Greece. This is important towards understanding the central role that ancient Greece plays in the cult and history of the Illuminati. From the seventh century BC onward, Greece had been subject to a steady infusion of “Phoenician” immigrants, who gave Greece much of its culture, beginning with its alphabet, which is still the basis of the one we use today. Contrary to our modern perception of it, Ancient Greece was fundamentally a Middle Eastern civilization. The case for the foreign origin of Greek culture is such that, a little over fifty years ago, a German scholar had said:

...in view of this state of affairs it could not be called out of the way to ask what there was in Archaic Greece that did not come from the orient.

Numerous genealogies claim that Ilus, the grandfather of Priam, was descended from Zerah, the son of Judah from Tamar, and the brother of Peres, and that he married Electra, the daughter of Atlas the Titan.[4] According to Flavius Josephus, first century Jewish historian, Zerah’ son Dara, or Darda, was also Dardanus, after whom the straight of the Dardanelles is named. From his sons, several nations have claimed descent, including the Goths, descended from his daughter Troanna. Priam’s daughter Cassandra married Aeneas, who are the reputed ancestors of the Romans, Brutus and the kings of Scotland. And from Helenus King of Troy are descended the Sicambrians, later known as Franks.

According to Homer, in the Iliad, in his account of the war, the contingent of Greeks hidden within the Trojan Horse were Danaans. Purportedly, Greece had originally been colonized by remnants of the tribe of Dan, known to Greek historians as Danaans. The Danaans were a people regarded by the Greeks as being of Phoenician origin. The Greeks, however, had no knowledge of the Israelites until the fourth century BC. Therefore, they were confused with the Canaanites of Palestine, and referred to as Phoenicians. The conquests of Greece by the Dorians, also known as Heraklids, as well, has been equated with the Denyen Sea Peoples, or Danites of the Tribe of Dan, who devastated Mediterranean civilization in the twelfth century, coinciding with the penetration of the Israelites into the Promised Land.

Heccataeus of Abdera, a Greek historian of the fourth century BC, confirms the hypothesis when, referring to the Egyptians, he explained:

The natives of the land surmised that unless they removed the foreigners [Israelites] their troubles would never be resolved. At once, therefore, the aliens were driven from the country and the most outstanding and active among them branded together and, as some say, were cast ashore in Greece and certain other regions; their teachers were notable men, among them being Danaus and Cadmus. But the greater number were driven into what is now called Judea, which is not far from Egypt and at that time was utterly uninhabited. The colony was headed by a man called Moses.[5]

Already as early as the sixth century BC, the influence of the Magi resulted in the emergence of the Mysteries of Dionysus among the Greeks. The legendary founder of the rites of Dionysus was known to have been Orpheus. Artapanus, a Jewish philosopher of the third century BC, declared of Moses that, “as a grown man he was called Musaeus by the Greeks. This Musaeus was the teacher of Orpheus.” Certainly, Moses was not the author of heretical doctrines developed in the sixth century BC, nearly a thousand years after his death. Still, these writers at least acknowledged the Jewish origin of the Greek mystical ideas.

The Magi would have adapted the Babylonian Bel to their own Mithras, who was then known as Dionysus among the Greeks, and their rites were as described by Clement of Alexandria:

The raving Dionysus is worshipped by Bacchants with orgies, in which they celebrate their sacred frenzy by a feast of raw flesh. Wreathed with snakes, they perform the distribution of portions of their victims, shouting the name Eva (Eua), that Eva through whom error entered into the world; and a consecrated snake is the emblem of the Bacchic orgies.[6]

Heraclitus, a Greek philosopher of the sixth century BC, equated the rites of Dionysus/Bacchus with those of the Magi, and commented: “if it were for Dionysus that they hold processions and sing hymns to the shameful parts [phalli], it would be a most shameless act; but Hades and Dionysus are the same, in whose honor they go mad and celebrate the Bacchic rites,Plato

Essentially, while the Kabbalah can be traced back to Babylon, it was not there that its initial doctrines were expounded in literary form, but in ancient Greece. Though the Jews were allowed to return to Palestine by Cyrus the Great, no evidence of Jewish literature makes its appearance until the third century AD. Rather, the earliest elaboration of Kabbalistic doctrines takes place in Greece, among the so-called philosophers, and particularly Pythagoras, and later Plato, who has long been regarded as the godfather of this tradition.

The cult Orpheus, known as Orphism, became the basis of the philosophical cult developed by Pythagoras.[10] Accounts of Pythagoras having journeyed to Babylon for his learning are extensive. Through his influence, these ideas were then transmitted to Plato. Therefore, according to Momigliano, in Alien Wisdom, “it was Plato who made Persian wisdom thoroughly fashionable, though the exact place of Plato in the story is ambiguous and paradoxical.13]

In the Laws, Plato proposed astrological idea, about which E. R. Dodds, who is skeptical of the extent of Magian influence on Plato’s thought, is willing to concede that:

...the proposals of the Laws do seem to give the heavenly bodies a religious importance which they lacked in ordinary Greek cult, though there may have been partial precedents in Pythagorean thought and usage. And in the Epinomis, which I am inclined to regard either as Plato’s own work or as put together by his Nachlass (unpublished works), we meet with something that is certainly Oriental, and is frankly presented as such, the proposal for public worship of the planets.[14]

The Epinomis, which is either a work of Plato, or his pupil Philip of Opus, is clearly influenced by the Magi. According to the Epinomis, that science which makes men most wise, is astrology. Astrology, claims the author, proffers man with knowledge of numbers, in other words, numerology, without which man cannot attain to a knowledge of virtue. This knowledge, according to the author, belonged originally to the Egyptians and the Syrians, “from when the knowledge has reached to all countries, including our own, after having been tested by thousands of years and time without end.”

However, the great treatise of Kabbalistic thought in the Greek language is the Timaeus. Like the Epinomis, the Timaeus categorizes the purpose of life as to study astrology. But, it is in the Republic that Plato articulates the need for a totalitarian state to be governed by philosopher-kings, who are to be instructed in this pseudo-science. When asked to provide details about this instruction, in last chapter of The Republic, Plato recounts what is called the Myth of Er. Er, the son of an Asian named Armenius, who died in a war but returned to life to act as a messenger from the other world.

Colotes, a philosopher of the third century BC, accused Plato of plagiarism, maintaining that he substituted Er’s name for that of Zoroaster. Clement of Alexandria and Proclus quote from a work entitled On Nature, attributed to Zoroaster, in which he is equated with Er.[15] Quoting the opening of the work, Clement mentions:

Zoroaster, then, writes: “These things I wrote, I Zoroaster, the son of Armenius, a Pamphylian by birth: having died in battle, and been in Hades, I learned them of the gods.” This Zoroaster, Plato says, having been placed on the funeral pyre, rose again to life in twelve days. He alludes perchance to the resurrection, or perchance to the fact that the path for souls to ascension lies through the twelve signs of the zodiac; and he himself says, that the descending pathway to birth is the same. In the same way we are to understand the twelve labours of Hercules, after which the soul obtains release from this entire world.[16]

The Republic provided the basis for all future Illuminati projects, including the elimination of marriage and the family, compulsory education, the use of eugenics by the state, and the employment of deceptive propaganda methods. According to Plato, “all these women shall be wives in common to all the men, and not one of them shall live privately with any man; the children too should be held in common so that no parent shall know which is his own offspring, and no child shall know his parent.” This belief is associated with a need for eugenics, as “the best men must cohabit with the best women in as many cases as possible and the worst with the worst in the fewest, and that the offspring of the one must be reared and that of the other not, if the flock is to be as perfect as possible.” More pernicious still is his prescription for infanticide: “The offspring of the inferior, and any of those of the other sort who are born defective, they will properly dispose of in secret, so that no one will know what has become of them. That is the condition of preserving the purity of the guardians’ breed.

They [philosopher-kings] will begin by sending out into the country all the inhabitants of the city who are more than ten years old, and will take possession of their children, who will be unaffected by the habits of their parents; these they will train in their own habits and laws, I mean in the laws which we have given them: and in this way the State and constitution of which we were speaking will soonest and most easily attain happiness, and the nation which has such a constitution will gain most.[18]

As for propaganda, according to Plato, “Our rulers will find a considerable dose of falsehood and deceit necessary for the good of their subjects”. He further explains, “Rhetoric … is a producer of persuasion for belief, not for instruction in the matter of right and wrong. And so the rhetorician’s business is not to instruct a law court or a public meeting in matters of right and wrong, but only to make them believe; since, I take it, he could not in a short while instruct such a mass of people in matters so important.”

Alexander the Great

In the year 367 BC, at the age of seventeen, Aristotle had become a member of Plato’s Academy, while Eudoxus of Cnidus was its head. And though Aristotle probably did not write the work On the Magi attributed to him, he was convinced that the planets and the fixed stars influenced life on earth. Aristotle, was then the teacher of Alexander the Great, whose conquests incepted what is known as the Hellenistic Age, a period that saw the penetration of Greaco-Kabbalistic culture throughout much of the Mediterranean world.

The Hellenistic Age was also the beginning of the first identifiable contacts between Greeks and Jews. Clearchus of Soli, a disciple of Aristotle, maintained that his master had conversed with a Jew, and that his master claimed that, “as he had lived with many learned men, he communicated to us more information than he received from us.[19]

As well, according to both the Talmud and Josephus’ Antiquities, the High Priest of the Temple in Jerusalem, fearing that Alexander would destroy the city, went out to meet him. The narrative describes how Alexander, upon seeing the High Priest, dismounted and bowed to him. In Josephus’ account, when asked by his general, to explain his actions, Alexander answered, “I did not bow before him, but before that God who has honored him with the high Priesthood; for I saw this very person in a dream, in this very apparel.” Alexander interpreted the vision of the High Priest as a good omen and thus spared Jerusalem, peacefully absorbing the Land of Israel into his growing empire. As tribute to his benign conquest, the Sages decreed that the Jewish firstborn of that time be named Alexander, which remains a Jewish name to this very day.[20]

After his death, Alexander’s generals broke up the empire, establishing realms of their own. Antigonus governed Macedonia and Greece. Seleucus became satrap of Babylonia, founding the Seleucid Empire, that at its greatest extent stretched from Bulgaria in Europe to the border of India. Phoenicia, fell to Ptolemy Sotor, who inaugurated the Ptolemaic dynasty that ruled Egypt.

GORDON DUFF: IN MOTION: THE PLOT TO DESTROY THE UNITED STATES

SEE IT COMING AND STOP IT, EVEN IF IT COSTS YOU EVERYTHING

By Gordon Duff STAFF WRITER/Senior Editor

“The 2010 election had one purpose, war with Iran, even if the risk is world conflict and the real loser, no matter what happens on the battlefield is the United States.”

Plans are in motion for a “false flag” attack on America. Iran will be blamed, everyone knows that and Iran will be totally innocent. This is the last thing Iran would ever want. The most likely scenario is a nuclear attack. Two bombs are missing, bombs built by Israel in South Africa and lost long ago. These were supposedly Saddam’s bombs. Now we are told Iran has them. Israel has had them all along and the fear, they may be inside the United States already.

The Israeli game with these weapons is one of the worst kept secrets in the world and has already cost the deaths of many. It will take nothing short of the detonation of one of this Hiroshima sized Israeli nukes to push America into Israel’s war with Iran, much as hunting for these nukes which Israel informed President Bush were in Iraq, led “the decider” to making one of the many blunders of his career. Our next 9/11 will be nuclear.

The purpose will be to push America into a 20 year war that will destroy Iran and Pakistan, take oil to over $300 per barrel and collapse the dollar and Euro. Iran isn’t Iraq of 2003, toothless and starving. This will be America’s last military adventure, and the end of America’s place in the world as we know it. We know the details of the proposed military campaign and the military and political leaders who support it are the worst imaginable incompetents and traitors.

Invading Iran is an impossible task for America. Other than there be no reason whatsoever to engage in such folly, something that, of recent years, seems to concern fewer and fewer Americans. Turn on the TV, if the “rodeo clown” says “wipe ‘em out” then we do it.

Invading Iran is an impossibility for America. Going to the moon was easier. No matter how senseless, how impossible, the decision has been made, more in Tel Aviv than Washington, for sure, but one that will be obeyed.

There are only two scenarios that can fulfill the nightmare Israel and her shiny new congress have in store with us. One is a preemptive nuclear attack on Iran and the other full scale total war with up to 500,000 Americans being drafted into the military.

If U.S. Won't Prosecute Bush, at Least 145 Other Countries Should

November 12, 2010

Translated By Sandrine Ageorges

Cerium, Montréal: One can't blame him for dodging his responsibility. In his autobiographical book Decision Points, which was released this week in the United States, former President George W. Bush not only admits - he boasts - of having authorized the practice known as waterboarding during interrogations of suspected members of al-Qaeda by the CIA.

The problem? Bush doesn't believe this method of "enhanced interrogation" to be torture. But the American administration - those that came before and after Bush's - as well as international

Has he then, with this confession, rendered himself vulnerable to criminal charges (and former Vice President Cheney as well, who said during an interview last February that he was a "staunch supporter of waterboarding")?

For the moment, the Obama Administration has refused to open the issue of the responsibility of Bush Administration officials for the use of torture, and the current president has specifically indicated that he will not pursue CIA staff who practiced torture, under the pretense they were operating with the authorization of the Justice Department, which had fallaciously told them that simulated drowning, among other things, was not torture.

The former president's statements have rekindled the debate and raise the pressure on the current president.

The organization Human Rights Watch, which counts 350 cases of torture and cruel treatment of detainees committed by 600 American troops and civilians, noted this Wednesday that the U.N. Convention Against Torture obliges its signatories, one of which is the United States, to prosecute persons responsible of torture, and is pressing the Obama Administration to initiate proceedings.

The National Religious Campaign Against Torture, which is comprised of 290 churches, has called for a commission of inquiry to investigate the matter and accuses the former president of having "violated American and International law."

BUSH INDICTED … IN SPAIN?

But if no action is taken against Bush in his home country, that opens the possibility of indictment in a third country.

A total of 145 other countries, including Canada, are signatories to the U.N. Convention Against Torture. And all signatories have committed to enforcing its provisions, even against offenders residing in other territories.

Therefore, with varying degrees of success, proceedings have been initiated in Spain and Belgium against foreign heads of state, notably the Chilean Pinochet. Water boarding is now considered a form of torture worldwide, and those responsible must be prosecuted.

Last week, The Washington Post quoted one of the authors of the U.N. convention, lawyer M. Cherif Boussiani of DePaul University, who is of the opinion that the former President's confession opens him up to such charges.

In fact, a court in Madrid last January opened proceedings against Bush advisors who wrote memos illegally authorizing the use of torture. The case is pending, but the issue was pursued precisely because no American authority took action against the officials responsible.

It's a safe bet that George W. Bush is now in the crosshairs of the Spain tribunal. If it were to condemn him, even in absentia, he would then be subject to the mutual extradition treaty in force among 24 European countries.
>

In other words, Bush couldn't travel to any of these countries without incurring the risk of being deported to Spain to serve out his sentence.

To be continued, and pursued! …

Chinese Sub Missile Launch? No, Probably US Live Tests

By MIke Rivero
11-11-10

First off, the US Navy has confirmed they are conduicting live fire missile tests in that area.

http://www.nga.mil/MSISiteContent/StaticFiles/NAV_PUBS/UNTM/201045/NtM_45-2010.pdf

page 55

According to this official US Navy document the US Navy is indeed conducting live fire testing of missiles off the coast of California. This is a repeat of the situation with TWA 800 in which the US Navy at first denied knowing what missile it was that witnesses reported seeing only to have to admit to the ongoing tests of Aegis-CEC when the NOTAM surfaced days later.

Now, with this confirmation, I want to address this rumor being seeded all over the blogs about a Chinese nuclear submarine. This story tracks back to only one dubious source and the story is that a Chinese Jin class nuclear ballistic missile submarine launched the "Mystery Missile" as a show of force to the United States.

This rumor needs to be stopped right now.

First off, while the Jin is much quieter than its predecessor the Xia (the running joke here in Hawaii is that you can drop a hydrophone off Kauai and hear the Xia subs idling at their base in Jianggezhuang), the Jin is far from the silent machines that the Ohio class subs are. And like all nuclear boats, the Jin leaves a thermal trace on the surface of the water in its wake that is detectable by satellite, as is the surface disturbance created by its submerged passing.

Indeed, the ability to detect and track submerged submarines b y their surface wakes using synthetic aperture radar of the ocean surface was discovered back with SeaSat, which is one reason why the SOSUS networks have been turned over to the cetologists to track whale migrations.

Second, the Jin would not need to approach the United States to make their point. The Julang 2 missile launched from the Jin has an 8000 KM range.

Third, and most importantly, why would China do such a stupid thing? They have the upper hand at the G20. They do not need to show us a missile; they can destroy the United States with the IOUs. Provoking a war with China plays to the US' advantage as it gives the US Government an excuse not to honor their debts.

Fourth, we know from the NOTAM that the US Navy was in the area, which makes the possibility of an undetected approach even more unbelievable. Plus there is the inevitable fact that had the source of the Missile been anyone other than the US Navy, the Navy would have given chase to find the launch platform. It's the old "dog did not bark" logic. The Navy did not act like the source of the missile was unknown to them.

Personally, I think this "Chinese sub" story is being planted to give the US Government a scapegoat when they come back from the G20 with their tails between their legs.

L.A. ‘mystery missile’ may have been errant launch, experts say

Military officials remain stumped about the mysterious projectile spotted in the sky off the Southern California coast, but aerospace experts said it appeared to be an errant missile launch.

Pentagon officials are looking into what they have called an "unexplained contrail" after a KCBS news helicopter shot video late Monday of a luminous point hurtling through the sky followed by a long vapor trail.

Each branch of the military has denied involvement, and the Pentagon has been cryptic about the object and who may have launched it. Despite this, officials said the event was not a threat to national security. They also said it was not a launch by a foreign military.

While rocket launches are a common sight in Southern California, getting proper authorization is a weeks-long process. Authorities that oversee commercial and military launches have denied any knowledge of a scheduled launch.

The Federal Aviation Administration did not approve any commercial space launches around the area Monday, said spokesman Ian Gregor. In addition, the agency did not receive reports of any unusual sightings from pilots who were flying in the area.

After reports of the event, the agency ran radar replays of a large area west of Los Angeles and did not spot any fast-moving, unidentified targets in that area.

Officials at nearby military bases where rocket launches regularly take place also said they were not involved.

Aerospace experts who reviewed the footage said the size of the plume suggests it was a large military rocket or missile.

"The launch of a rocket that size doesn't belong to any commercial entity without them issuing a press release," said Marco Caceres, analyst with Teal Group Corp., a Fairfax, Va.-based aerospace research firm. "It can't belong to anyone but the military."

The lack of explanation from the Pentagon makes Caceres believe it may have been a mistake -- perhaps a defense exercise launched by accident.

Based on the footage, it is unclear where exactly the missile was coming from, but many analysts believe it originated near Naval Air Station Point Mugu in Ventura County, where missiles and missile defense exercises are regularly carried out.

Officials at the base, however, denied it was their missile.

Mystery Missile Launch

LOS ANGELES — A mysterious "missile" streaked across the sky off the Southern California coast Monday night and was caught on video by a local TV station's helicopter camera.

KCBS reported the trail was visible from Los Angeles. The station's helicopter crew described the missile's location as 35 miles out to sea north of Catalina Island.

Senior Pentagon and Navy officials told NBC News that they did not know who launched the missile.

A senior official told NBC News it was "possible" that the incident was an accidental launch by the military. However, the Navy, Air Force and Missile Defense Agency said they had no information to indicate they were involved, NBC News reported.

Military officials told said that a planned military exercise would not have been held that close to Los Angeles.

Officials were also examining the possibility it was a "commercial launch of some kind" or that amateurs had built a device capable of creating such a plume, NBC News reported.

A Navy spokesman told local CBS station KFMB that there was no Navy activity reported in that region Monday night, and that it was not the Navy's missile.

KCBS, which originally reported the incident, asked Robert Ellsworth, a former deputy secretary of defense and ambassador to NATO, about the mystery missile.

"It could be a test firing of an intercontinental ballistic missile from a submarine to demonstrate, mainly to Asia, that we can do that," he told the TV station, emphasizing that he was purely speculating.

War Over Monsanto Gets Ugly

by: Mike Ludwig

A delegation of politicians and community activists gathered on August 7 in La Leonesa, a small farm town in Argentina, to hear Dr. Andres Carrasco speak about a study linking a popular herbicide to birth defects in Argentina's agricultural areas.

But the presentation never happened. A mob of about 100 people attacked the delegation before they could reach the local school where the talk was to be held.

Dr. Carrasco and a colleague locked themselves in a car as the mob yelled threats and beat on the vehicle for two hours. One delegate was hit in the spine and has since suffered lower-body paralysis. Another person was treated for blows to the head. A former provincial human rights official was hit in the face and knocked unconscious.

Witnesses said the angry crowd had ties to local officials and agribusiness bosses, and police made little effort to stop the violence, according to human rights group Amnesty International.

Carrasco is a lead embryologist at the University of Buenos Aires Medical School and the Argentinean national research council. His study, first released in 2009 and published in the United States this past summer, shows that glyphosate-based herbicides like Monsanto's popular Roundup formula caused deformations in chicken embryos that resembled the kind of birth defects being reported in areas like La Leonesa, where big agribusinesses depend on glyphosate to treat genetically engineered crops.

The deformations resulted from much lower doses of herbicide than those commonly found on crops, according to the study.

Biotech chemical giant Monsanto patented glyphosate under the trade name Roundup in the 1970's. The billion-dollar product is a main source of Monsanto's revenue and one of the most widely used herbicides in the world. One Monsanto blogger recently wrote that decades of success has made the Roundup brand name and glyphosate "interchangeable similar to the case of facial tissue and the brand name Kleenex."

Carrasco's report was largely ignored in the mainstream American media, but gained international attention among those opposed to genetically modified (GM) crops like Monstano's Roundup Ready crops, which are genetically engineered to tolerate the glyphosate-based herbicides.

The report is not the first to show that glyphosate herbicides like Roundup are more dangerous than government regulators and Monsanto have claimed, and Carrasco is not the first scientist to face intimidation after challenging the biotech industry, although he is the first to be threatened with violence.

Nevertheless, his report made an impact: journalists covered the results, environmentalists petitioned Argentina's high court to ban glyphosate and the government of the Argentinean province of Chaco began studying an eerie increase in birth defects and child cancer near the soy and rice fields sprayed with thousands of gallons of herbicide.

According to a spring 2010 report released by the Chaco government, an increase in birth defects and child cancer cases coincided with years of agricultural expansion and increased herbicide use in the province. The number of child cancer cases in La Leonesa, the small town where Carrasco and the other concerned citizens were attacked, has tripled from 2000 to 2009 and the number of birth defects in the province nearly quadrupled during that time, according to the report.

The report acknowledges that some local agribusinesses were unlawfully spraying herbicides too close to residential populations, but the Chaco study soon caught the attention of researchers across the world.

In September, an international coalition of scientists released a report citing the attack in La Leonesa and human tragedy in Chaco as proof that Roundup and genetically engineered soy crops are dangerous and unsustainable. The report provides a conclusive rebuttal to the industry's claims that spraying mutant crops with chemicals is the best way to feed the world. It's just another chapter in an information war that has raged for more than a decade, pitting independent scientists and embattled whistleblowers against the world's biggest biotech and petrochemical corporations.

A Short Message: Question Everything

By Pat Anderson

It never fails to amaze me when I see otherwise intelligent people falling for the same lies over and over again, regardless of the facts shown to them. It’s bad enough when dealing with the sheeple who love to parrot the latest ZNN “news story” as fact. But, when I see “truthseekers” falling into the same pattern of falling for myth instead of fact, and continue to hold onto that myth with all their might, it bothers me. When I hear them parrot the same insults the sheeple have been taught by TPTB, it bothers me. It shows me they are willing to think critically in some areas, but some areas remain taboo or they think because someone in this “truth movement” told the truth in one area, it makes them trustworthy enough to tell the truth in others without checking evidence to the contrary. We see it time and time again in many different subjects.

For example, let’s take the followers of Alex Jones. Lord Alex declares critics of Israel to be “weak minded idiots” and his puppets on his forum declare the same things. Now, this is a so called “truth” forum that parrots the lies of the Hollowcost and would love to point you in the direction of the “queen bitches” as the very top tier, just don’t mention the fact of the Zionist bankers who of course control the money of the very “queen bitches” they claim are in complete control. It kind of throws a wrench into their not so well oiled machine and of course, will get you banned for your efforts. But, some of us wear that as a badge of honor. It’s a way to know you are on the right track if you have realized they are full of shit, call them and Lord Alex on it, and they attempt to silence you. Gee, don’t those tactics sound familiar?

Another example of course is the Hollowcost itself. This one always gets a chuckle out of me as I see otherwise intelligent people who simply cannot believe, even though they have been lied to about almost every other topic under the sun by the Zionist media, that this myth is absolutely true and to say it’s not is completely and totally anti-semitic. Never mind showing them the numbers don’t add up anywhere close to the “six million” claimed by the Zionists. Never mind showing them the Zionists tried to float that exact same number after WW1 and it was simply laughed at. Again, we look at a complete lack of critical thinking by people who have been so indoctrinated by the propaganda, they refuse to look at the facts, and continue to parrot the lies of the Zionist history books.

The point is this. I do not care how trustworthy one has proven themselves to be. It does not make them perfect and incapable of making mistakes. People need to question and learn to dig for themselves. They need to use their common sense when listening to the claims of another. They need to use common sense when drawing their conclusions, and see if the facts will back those conclusions. What does not need to happen is the constant parroting of what this one or that one said. That is not showing individuality, nor does it show the ability to stand on one’s own feet.

Question what is presented to you at all times, look for facts in any given subject. There are many myths that are taken for granted as simply being true, and yet when some brave individual looks for facts to back that myth, they see it for what it truly is. A myth, and nothing more.

"Well I see that the world is upside-down
seems that my pockets were filled up with gold
and now the clouds, well they've covered everything over
and the wind is blowing cold..."
--Tom Waits

There once was a time when life seemed more plasticine, through more synthetic eyes. At some point in our pasts, whether distant or near, each of us crossed a threshold in our accepted cycles of living. For some of us, it feels like it's always been there, in one form or another--a final non-acceptance of our stations in life and society.

It could have been a seminal event, which, as presented, seemed inexplicable in the most obvious ways. Or it could have been the result of a lifetime of hardships forcing you to face up to the cold reality of this planet. Some inherently understand the depths of just how apathetic this sphere we're stuck to happens to be. It may be simply the shedding of your refusal to accept this reality.

We are creatures capable of endless feats of grace and beauty, and are only limited by our imaginations. But we also paint our histories with blood, and are capable of the most disgraceful acts.

We all deal with temptation. and we all know what is right and what is wrong, if we only take the time to ask ourselves.

It can be an overwhelming experience to all of a sudden gain access to the gulf of information available for investigating "the truth." Those who still wish to gather around a shepherd will most certainly find themselves a shepherd. They're all over the internet, and they're firmly ensconced in many a "truth seeker's" subconscious, much like the mainstream media still enjoys a firm grip on the minds of those afraid to face the cold reality of our apathetic planet. If those who've finally had enough shit and propaganda could only instantly see what they're truly up against, it really would separate the shepherds from the sheep...

This world--this globe--is not concerned in the least with your fate. We are so insignificant in the scope of the literal universe that it truly seems like there should be no hope for us at all. The mere contemplation of this reality sends the more lighthearted into pathetic depression cycles of shame and denial. To others it rests as a comfort against the very evil and desperation we face in our lives every day. We take comfort in the fact that we stand every bit as significant as those whose keys unlock chains.

He really is a frail little man, with a mind of wrought iron and sulfur.

Take refuge in your imaginations; they are the most valuable resources we possess as human beings. The restless spirit is that which cannot be chained by anyone but yourself. You are free right now to refuse to join the parade and hold their banner. No one is stopping you from being free. No one.

So you were thrown to the wolves by everyone for simply wanting the truth? It made you not only angry, but worse still, it made you cynical? Well, stand on a mountain and scream to God how it hurts if you have to, but get past it. There is a whole world to experience, and a wealth of resources to finally drown the most avid seeker of the truth.

Don't forget about your common sense. This is your divining rod.

Safed: 'the most racist city' in Israel

By Jonathan Cook

SAFED, ISRAEL // The tranquility of Safed, a small Israeli city nestled high in the hills of the Upper Galilee close to the Lebanese border, is not usually disturbed except by occasional pilgrimages by Madonna or other famous devotees of the Jewish mystical teachings of Kabbalah.

But in the past few weeks, Safed - one of Judaism's four holy cities - has been making headlines of a very different kind. Gideon Levy, a columnist for the Israeli daily Haaretz, last week declared it "the most racist city in the country".

The unflattering, and hotly contested, epithet follows an edict from Safed's senior rabbis ordering residents not to sell or rent homes to "non-Jews" - a reference to the country's Palestinian Arab citizens, who comprise a fifth of Israel's population.

At an emergency meeting called last month to discuss the dangers of assimilation caused by Arab men dating Jewish women, the 18 rabbis warned that Safed and its 40,000 Jewish residents were facing an "Arab takeover".

The number of Arabs in the city, though low, has been steadily rising as the student body at Safed Academic College has expanded. There are now some 1,300 Arab students enrolled at the school.

The rabbis' statements have provoked a series of attacks by ultranationalist Jews, in which several Arab homes have been attacked to chants of "Death to the Arabs". In one recent incident, three Arab students were beaten as shots were fired.

So far three Jewish youths, including an off-duty policeman, have been charged with participating in the violence. The policeman is accused of firing his gun.

The anti-Arab campaign escalated last week as posters were plastered across the city threatening to burn down the home of an elderly Jew if he did not stop renting to Arab students.

The owner, 89-year-old Eli Zvieli, said the posters appeared after he received phone threats and visits from several rabbis warning him to change his mind.

Jamil Khalaili, 20, a physiotherapy student at the college who rents an apartment with a friend in a Jewish neighbourhood, said the atmosphere in Safed was rapidly deteriorating.

"We're being treated like criminals, like we're trying to steal their homes," he said. "It's got to the point where many of my friends are wondering whether to leave. I want to study here but not if it costs me my life."

Leading the opposition to the presence of Arab students in the city is Safed's chief rabbi, Shmuel Eliyahu, who is employed by the municipality as head of its religious council.

"When a non-Jew moves in, residents begin to worry about their children, about their daughters. Many Arab students have been known to date Jewish girls," Israel National News quoted Mr Eliyahu as saying.

The 18 rabbis issued their statement after learning of the college's plan to build a medical school, which is expected to draw Arab students from across the Galilee.

In the statement, they urged Jewish residents to shun a "neighbour or acquaintance" who rents to Arabs. "Refrain from doing business with him, deny him the right to read from the Torah, and similarly ostracise him until he renounces this harmful deed," it said.

Similar anti-Arab sentiments are being heard in Karmiel and Upper Nazareth, two other cities in the Galilee. Both were established decades ago as part of what the government termed a "Judaisation" programme to settle more Jews in the country's most heavily Arab-populated region.

In Karmiel, 30km west of Safed, adverts in local newspapers have promoted a special e-mail address for residents to notify authorities about any neighbours planning to sell homes to Arabs. The e-mail account is overseen by officials for Oren Milstein, who was the city's deputy mayor until he was fired last week, according to Ynet, a news website.

U.S. EAVESDROPPING ON WHOLE WORLD THROUGH “ECHELON” SPY INTERCEPTS

By Sherwood Ross

The United States and three of its good buddies are operating “a network of massive, highly automated interception stations” codenamed ECHELON that is eavesdropping on the entire world, a distinguished Washington journalist reports.

“Like a mammoth vacuum cleaner in the sky, the National Security Agency(NSA) sucks it all up: home phone, office phone, cellular phone, email, fax, telex...satellite transmissions, fiber-optic communications traffic, microwave links, voice, text images (that are) captured by satellites continuously orbiting the earth and then processed by high-powered computers,” writes William Blum in his book “Rogue State”(Common Courage Press).

Calling it “the greatest invasion of privacy” ever, Blum says the ceaseless, illegal spy system sucks up perhaps billions of messages daily, including those of prime ministers, the Secretary-General of the UN, the pope, embassies, Amnesty International, Christian Aid, and transnational corporations and that “if God has a phone, it's being monitored.” As for messages sent via underwater cable, U.S. submarines have been attaching tapping pods to them for decades.

Launched in the 1970s to spy on Soviet satellite communications, the NSA and its junior partners in Canada, Britain, Australia, and New Zealand operate this network of massive, highly automated interception stations covering the globe. “In multiple ways, each of the countries involved is breaking its own laws, those of other countries, and international law,” Blum writes, noting that “the absence of court-issued warrants permitting surveillance of specific individuals is but one example.”

Apart from targeted individuals and institutions, ECHELON works by gobbling up huge quantities of communications and using computers to identify and extract those messages of interest. “Every intercepted message---all the embassy cables, the business deals, the sex talk, the birthday greetings---is searched for keywords, which could be anything the searchers think might be of interest,” Blum writes. Messages selected from the mass are then listened to by humans

Blum also said that during the countdown to its invasion of Iraq in 2003, the U.S. listened in on the conversations of UN Secretary-General Kofi Annan, the UN weapons inspectors in Iraq, "and all the members of the UN Security Council...when they were deliberating about what action to take in Iraq."

ECHELON is operated “without official acknowledgment of its existence, let alone any democratic oversight or public or legislative debate as to whether it serves a decent purpose,” Blum writes. For example, when Members of Parliament have raised questions about the NSA and its sprawling, 560-acre base in Menwith Hill, North Yorkshire, “the government has consistently refused to supply any information” and members of the U.S. Congress “have not even raised questions.” When the European Parliament's Civil Liberties Committee challenged the operation in the 1990s, Blum said, it denounced Britain's role as a double-agent, spying on its own European partners.

Since the end of the Cold War, the U.S. has continued to expand ECHELON in Europe in part “because of heightened interest in commercial espionage---to uncover industrial information that would provide American corporations with an advantage over foreign rivals,” Blum points out. When ine German firm, the wind generator-maker Enercon, applied for a patent on what it thought was a secret invention, its U.S. rival Kenetech disclosed it had already patented a near-identical development. During the ensuing court battle, an NSA employee appeared in silhouette on German TV to reveal how he had stolen Enercon's secrets by tapping its telephone and computer link lines and passing the data on to ECHELON, Blum writes.

Again, in 1994, Thomson S.A., located in Paris, and Airbus Industrie, of Blagnac Cedex, France, also lost lucrative contracts to U.S. rivals “aided by information covertly collected by NSA and CIA,” Blum writes, and the same agencies “also eavesdropped on Japanese representatives during negotiations with the U.S. in 1995 over auto parts trade.” One German official worried the U.S. through its massive radar and communications complex at Bad Aibling, near Munich, was picking up secret information. He was right to worry as the complex was, in fact, an NSA intercept station, Blum says.

Reporter Blum resigned his post at the U.S. State Department because of his opposition to the Viet Nam war and co-founded the Washington Free Press. In 1999, he received a Project Censored award for “exemplary journalism” for a story about how the U.S. gave Iraq material to develop chemical and biological warfare. He currently publishes the monthly “Anti-Empire Report.” To obtain copies of his book “Rogue State” contact him at bblum6@aol.com .
